Knight York Cross of Honour (KYCH)
About the Knight York Cross of Honour (KYCH)
The Knight York Cross of Honour (KYCH) is one of the highest and most respected distinctions within York Rite Masonry. It is not a degree that may be petitioned, but an invitational honor bestowed upon those who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, unwavering dedication, and faithful service to the Craft.
Eligibility for consideration reflects a lifetime of proven governance, moral integrity, and service. A candidate must have served as Worshipful Master of a Symbolic (Blue House) Lodge, and presided over each of the three principal York Rite bodies:
High Priest of a Royal Arch Chapter (Red House)
Thrice Illustrious Master of a Cryptic Council (Purple House)
Eminent Commander of a Commandery of Knights Templar (Black House)
The KYCH is conferred only through recommendation and election by qualified peers, making it a true testament to earned respect, trust, and recognition within the fraternity.
