Our Story

Far North Chapter No. 4 traces its roots to October 22, 1960, when a group of dedicated women and men gathered at First CME Methodist Church in Anchorage, Alaska, to establish an organization known as the Daughters of Unity. Through their vision, commitment, and service, the organization evolved into an Order of the Eastern Star chapter. Over the years, the chapter experienced several transitions in jurisdiction and leadership, ultimately becoming Far North Chapter No. 4 under the Prince Hall Grand Chapter of Alaska. Today, the chapter proudly honors the legacy of its founders while continuing to serve its members and communities throughout Alaska.
